non-alcoholic drinks for a Bachelorette party

America loves a good excuse to drink. Sporting events, birthdays, graduations, weddings, you name it. It makes sense, given that 65% of all Americans over the age of 21 say they drink alcohol.

However, with one in three adults trying to drink less in 2023, “sober curiosity” is a trend we’re starting to see more of—particularly amongst Millennials and Gen Zers. And bachelorette parties are no exception.

Whether you’re the bride-to-be, one of the bridesmaids, or you’re just along for the ride, there are plenty of bachelorette party ideas that involve alcohol alternatives so you can celebrate while warding off that dreaded hangover.

From a girls’ brunch to a weekend getaway, here are the best things to do and non-alcoholic drinks for a bachelorette party that will have everyone buzzin.’

When we say “sober bachelorette party,” we’re not suggesting you trade in that Nashville trip for an escape room. You want the experience to live up to your expectations and the bridal party’s.

By shifting the focus away from alcohol, the options are truly endless. You might even come back feeling refreshed. Here’s to having the best bachelorette party experience you will remember for years.

1. Nature Escape

2. Spa Day (or Weekend)

Pamper yourself with massages, manicures, facials and more. Everyone will be so zen after the experience, the idea of getting drunk won’t sound appealing to anyone. Throwing a pool party with floaties, yummy guilt-free snacks, refreshing mocktails and good tunes is an instant classic—and it’s even better if you are in a warm area (think: Palm Springs, CA or Scottsdale, AZ) to make pool time the main event.

For when the sun goes down, plan some bachelorette party games. Make sure to have plenty of alcohol alternatives to sip on in case they’re traditionally drinking games.

4. Group Trip to an Amusement Park

When was the last time you rode a high-speed rollercoaster? Indulge your inner adrenaline junkie at an amusement park like Six Flags.

If rollercoasters aren’t your thing, channel your inner kid with your friends and geek out on all things Disney at Disneyland. Even if the internet enjoys hating on “Disney Adults,” there’s a reason why Disneyland is not just the happiest place on earth for children, and it’s because Walt Disney himself said he intended for Disneyland to be a park for everyone

5. Craft Night

Create a new accent for your home with a crafty DIY night. To keep things intimate, host it at someone’s home and set up a variety of options for your guests, such as scrapbooking, jewelry making, watercolor painting, pottery making or candle making.

If crafts aren’t your thing, consider a cooking class, whether virtual or at a local school.

6. Brunch

Don’t let the absence of alcohol stand in the way of a good time. Plan a boozy or not-so-boozy brunch around normal cocktails and non-alcoholic ones. Check out the menu of restaurants in your area in search of places that offer sophisticated zero-proof drinks.

More and more menus are becoming inclusive of non-drinkers with craft mocktails. So, you might be surprised!

7. Take a Dance Class

Before the wedding day, sharpen those dance moves with your closest friends and take a group class. It can even be zoomba or tango – just get up and move your body. You will release endorphins and break a sweat. Follow it up with a mani-pedi, and you’ve got yourself a super fun day with your gals.
